RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Skills Recognition was established for people to receive the qualifications they deserved based on their knowledge, skills and experience.
If you’re currently working in the building and construction industry and are thinking about obtaining a qualification- trust the process with a registered training organisation that specialises in building and construction.
Builders Academy Australia (BAA) is one of Australia’s most awarded training organisations in building and construction.
Builders Academy Australia (BAA) was awarded the:
- 2018 Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year
- 2020 Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year
- 2020 Australian Small Training Provider of the Year
- 2021 Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year
Based on the principle of “builders training builders”, BAA draws on its deep connections to Simonds Homes, one of Australia’s largest domestic home builders. With this close industry link, Simonds rich history and experience is reflected into the courses BAA delivers, ensuring graduates are ready for today’s competitive workforce.
Quite simply, we live and breathe building and construction. BAA do not deal with hundreds of qualifications across different industries. We specialise in building and construction.
You will not be putting your RPL process in the hands of third party suppliers or brokers. Your future is too important. Do it right and come directly to the source.
Firstly, BAA will manage the whole process for you. No third parties or brokers, you will be dealing with the actual registered training organisation that is responsible for assessing, granting and issuing your qualification.
Builders Academy Australia can help you:
- Choose the right qualification in Building and Construction that’s right for you
- Achieve your goals of becoming qualified so you chase greater career opportunities
- Use your skills and knowledge as evidence and assess if you’re eligible for government funding. It is more affordable than ever to become qualified
- Complete your Recognition of Prior Learning from anywhere
- Saves you money and time
- Opens up new career opportunities
- Ensure you meet industry and licensing requirements
- Means you don’t have to attend classes or repeat already acquired training
- Is a quick and easy process for obtaining nationally recognised qualifications
There is no need to learn what you already know. BAA consider the skills and knowledge you have gained over the years through work and life experiences. Experience can be gained through formal and informal learning, in Australia or overseas, through work and through other activities.
We see the RPL process as a fact-finding process where we work with you to substantiate what you have already gained in the way of skills and knowledge and, from this, determine what you still need to know. Subject to sufficient evidence being provided, you may qualify for credits towards a qualification. This will reduce the time it takes to get a qualification.
Gain essential knowledge and skills to be able to work across residential construction jobs as a qualified carpenter. You will be equipped to undertake projects in new residential housing construction, maintenance and repair and renovations.
