Collingwood Football Club gave its employees an opportunity to take a few courses with Builders Academy Australia. Ben grabbed this chance to pursue his professional development with a Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB51918).

This week we caught up with Simonds building manager, Nathaniel to discuss his Diploma of Building and Construction (Management).

Despite all of Nathan’s previous experience, he still felt the Diploma was a necessary step for the next stage of his career. He discusses how the course encouraged him to listen a lot more to his staff ultimately making him the leader he is today.

Kirsty is no stranger to BAA. This is Kirsty’s second course with us and she’s recently been nominated for Student of the Year.

Like many other women, Kirsty feared breaking into the trade industry because she was worried she wouldn’t fit in. With grit, determination, and support from her employer, she is now a respected Construction Manager at Simonds Homes for over 5 years.
